2015: Araw ng mga AHAS

2015 is fast approaching. For those of us who believe in astrology, the approaching year's astrological forecast for our sign is of extreme importance: for money, health, love, and work.

World-renowned Feng Shui expert Marites Allen gives us her 2015 forecast for every Chinese astrological sign here on Yahoo Philippines from December 22 to January 1. We hope these readings may help you plan your 2015 better, and that the new year may be your best year yet.

Feng Shui 2015 forecast for people born on the Year of the Snake (1917, 1929, 1941, 1953, 1965, 1977, 1989, 2001, 2013)

WealthQuality more than quantity is the way to go when building wealth. You have the opportunity to make money; just stay committed to doing your best effort in profiting from all your hard work. Do not try to grab every lead there is; instead, choose the real meaty ones and give them your best shot. Seek advice from financial experts before making important decisions.

Health
You may have some wealth luck this year, but unless you have the energy to match that, the opportunities may just get wasted.  Do not let minor health issues develop into worrisome situations. You may face injuries and even accidents if you’re not careful. Do not sacrifice your health for the sake of making big money. Keep yourself strong; that’s what matters.

Relationship
Single Snakes are more focused on establishing their careers rather than on establishing romantic relationships. That is no big problem as they can always catch up at a later time. Those who are married may find health-related issues interfering in their union. That is no reason to lose hope as that’s what marriage is all about—being there for each other in good times and in bad.

Career
Plenty of good news in your career area. Put more effort into pushing your career further. There will be more opportunities for you to progress and have better income. You may also benefit from the experiences of helpful mentors who are just willing to help you through your objectives.

Hobbit, di papatalo sa MMFF

The last movie of Peter Jackson's three "Hobbit" films rode to a second consecutive win atop US and Canadian weekend box office charts, selling $41.4 million worth of tickets to triumph over new releases "Unbroken" and "Into the Woods."

"The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies" grabbed another $13.1 million from Christmas day screenings for a combined four-day total through Sunday of $54.5 million and a domestic haul of $168.5 million since its Dec. 17 release, according to estimates from tracking firm Rentrak.

Director Angelina Jolie's World War Two drama "Unbroken" finished second with $31.7 million after winning the box office duel on Christmas, narrowly edging out another new film, the musical "Into The Woods" which claimed the No. 3 spot with $31 million.

"Unbroken," Jolie's second directorial effort, tells the real-life story of Olympic runner Louis Zamperini's two years as a prisoner of war in Japan.

"None of us ever would have thought a picture like this -- an
inspirational
story about a World War Two hero and Olympian -- would have performed at this level," said Nikki Rocco, president for domestic distribution at Universal Pictures, the Comcast Corp unit that released the film.
"We would have been happy at $25 million," Rocco said, adding that the release had capped Universal's most profitable year.

"Into The Woods," the adaptation of Stephen Sondheim's Broadway musical which puts a dark spin on fairy tales, stars Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt and Johnny Depp.

The film, which saw the biggest opening in history for a screen adaptation of a Broadway musical, added $15.1 million from Christmas day screenings for a four-day total of $46.1 million, distributor Walt Disney Co. said.

"Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb" took fourth place in its second week of release with $20.6 million, while the musical "Annie" rounded out the top five with $16.6 million. In a rare feat, box office sales for both films exceeded their opening weekend numbers.

Another new release, "The Gambler," opened in seventh with $9.3 million, behind "The Hunger Games"' $10 million take. The low-budget film, which stars Mark Wahlberg, is a remake of the 1974 James Caan classic about a professor with a devastating weakness for high-stakes gambling.

The relatively solid box office numbers put Hollywood on track to end the year down just over five percent from 2013's record performance, an improvement over the double-digit falloff that was in place during the summer, according to Rentrak.

Time Warner Inc.'s Warner Bros. released "The Hobbit."

PBA Alaska Star Calvin Abueva tinotolerate ng PBA

You commit a very flagrant and unsportsmanlike foul, you and your team suffer the consequences. That’s the rule.

To some people, Alaska’s Calvin Abueva makes the PBA exciting. That is if you like dirty play and you like a player punching another player for no reason at all.

Abueva hit Rain or Shine’s Jonathan Uyloan in the stomach as they bounded down court last Thursday, sending the Elasto Painter grimacing on the floor.

Abueva was ejected, slapped with a Flagrant 2 foul and walked to his bench, smirking and smiling and perhaps thinking he should have hit Uyloan harder.

There was no expression of remorse or feeling sorry at all for what he just did. Why he did it no one knows. There was no previous altercation, no body contact no trash talk. He probably just felt like doing it, maybe because an unknown spirit moved him. Or, even if there was an altercation, a punch is hardly the right response.

What followed the day after, however, was more bizarre.

PBA commissioner Chito Salud slapped him with a P20,000 fine for the transgression and perhaps, after the conclusion of their meeting, wished the guy good luck in his next game.

Wow, P20,000 fine for punching another player. Heck, Yeng Guiao is fined more than that by saying officiating sucks.

Compare Salud’s action to that of the NBA. On Christmas day, in a game between the Washington Wizards and the New York Knicks, a scuffle broke out between the Wizards’ John Wall and the Knicks’ Quincy Acy.

Acy shoved Wall and Wall retaliated and Acy retaliated. Acy was ejected, Wall got a technical. You know what the NBA did? Acy was suspended one game for the kind of infraction that happens in nearly every PBA game. Wall was fined $15,000.

It is the kind of lenient treatment accorded Abueva that makes the PBA and NBA worlds apart. It is also the reason why the Abuevas of the PBA continue to peddle their brand of lunacy that makes the league look like a cheap tournament and the PBA commissioner an inconsistent disciplinarian.

This is the playoffs, the commissioner intoned. He said he can’t allow one team to lose a player for an important game. Well, in that case, Rain or Shine and Alaska players had just been given the go-signal to proceed with their “stupid move,” the term used by Guiao to describe Abueva’s moment of insanity.

They now can hit, trip or mangle each other and feel safe with the thought it’s a mere fine waiting for them.

Remember the time when the Phoenix Suns’ line up was almost decimated in the course of the NBA playoffs because some players were suspended? They were suspended for entering the court not for joining the scuffle. (May 15, 2007)

That doesn’t ring a bell of course to Salud whose recent actions and inactions have made the commissioner’s office a, shall we say, laughing stock.

Just two instances: The “magic hand” that selected the Number 1 pick that went to Globalport during the PBA draft and, more recently, the silent treatment on Talk ‘N Text’s Coach Jong Uichico who branded officiating biased and unfair.

If the commissioner can suspend and fine players in innocuous occasions such as pre-season and exhibition games, the more he should use an iron fist during playoffs.

As they say, it may be unfair, but it’s correct.

Congrats Mr. and Mrs. Miranda!

Congrats Mr. and Mrs. Miranda!

On behalf of her husband, Parokya ni Edgar vocalist Chito Miranda, Neri Naig expressed her gratitude to all those who attended their civil and garden wedding ceremonies over the weekend.

In an Instagram post, Naig shared how thankful she is for their guests, who stayed and celebrated with them even if they all got soaked in the rain.

The actress said she was not feeling well days before the special occasion, but everything still went according to plan.

She wrote in one of her posts, unedited: "2 days before the wedding, nagkasakit ako...pero gumanda pakiramdam ko nung araw mismo ng kasal. I had the perfect wedding dress. Very simple. Just the way I pictured it. It was raining and was super windy...pero I kept on telling my coordinator not to worry about it.”

“Basta gusto ko na maglakad sa aisle at makasama ang mga mahal ko sa buhay regardless kung maputik o liparin yung veil ko... Then the rain stopped just long enough for me to walk the aisle. The mood was perfect. Kahit nabasa sa ulan yung mga bisita, they were all having fun, dancing, laughing and getting drunk, and they all stayed and celebrated with us throughout the entire ceremony.”
Naig went on to thank the team behind all their wedding preparations.

“Gusto ko pasalamatan yung family at mga kaibigan namin. Kayo ang perfect na bisita dahil kayo ang perfect set of friends. Salamat din sa buong team behind our wedding. Ang sarap ng food, gaganda ng mga photos, ganda ng set up, at sa pag asikaso sa mga makukulit naming family and friends,” she wrote.

Meanwhile, Naig said she will forever be thankful for being blessed with a “perfect husband.”

“Salamat po, God. Biniyayaan mo po ako ng dalawang mapagmahal at mabubuting pamilya.Binigyan mo pa po ako ng crazy friends. At higit sa lahat, biniyayaan mo po ako ng perfect husband,” she wrote.

Last May, Miranda's romantic proposal to Naig went viral online. Miranda set up a fake music video shoot at a private resort in order to surprise the actress.
The two have been a couple for two years.

Pinay nakagat ng Lion PATAY!

"Grabe naman ito nakakawa! Kailangan makiisa tayo para sa hustiya!"

The family and friends of a Filipina household service worker who was attacked by a lion are seeking justice for her death. The victim, Lourdes Hingco Abejuela, died days after being attacked by a lion owned by her employer.

She suffered deep bite wounds on her left legs, according to her friend, Nieva Edullantes.
"Naiyak ako, ang sakit. May mga mahal kami sa Pilipinas iniwan naming pamilya namin tapos ganito lang ang mangyayari? Nasaktan din ako, gusto ko rin magkaroon ng justice kahit sino naman po," said Edullantes.

On December 6, Abejuela was able to inform family and friends about what happened to her by posting on Facebook.

Initial investigation showed that Abejuela was doing laundry on the rooftop where the lion is also kept. The cage was left unlocked and the lion attacked Abejuela.

"Inattack daw siya ng leon. Dinala siya sa ospital. Pagkatapos, iyong ospital na iyon hindi alam na kinagat siya ng lion. Iba daw ang sinabi kasi bawal daw. Nakiusap daw ang amo niya na huwag sabihin. So nung nasa ospital na siya, pinalabas siya agad," recounted Edullante.

Abejuela had been working for her employer for 15 years. She was discharged after her employer lied to doctors at the hospital, saying that a dog attacked her.

Under Kuwaiti law, residents are not allowed to own lions and other wild animals as pets.
According to Abejuela's boyfriend Danny Lagrimas, she was rushed back to the hospital the following day, December 7.

"Sabi niya pinauwi raw siya ng doktor kasi hayop lang daw ang nakakagat sa kanya. Sabi ko, bakit pinauwi ka? Malaki yung kagat ng leon," Lagrimas said.

On December 10, the 50-year old Pinay OFW from Bagacay, Ozamis, died.

"Ang sa aking lang naman po, kahit yung mga kasamahan ko sa bahay, gusto namin yung justice. Kahit pa po mabait pa yung amo niya, iyon ang sabi niya sa amin. Mali po eh, kahit kami mga katulong, gusto namin ng justice," Edullante said.

The legal counsel of the Philippine Embassy filed a case of criminal negligence resulting to homicide against the victim's employer.

"For the repatriation of the remains of this person will be done by the embassy quickly, and of course, we also have an angle, we have to see what happened in the hospital. She should have been admitted but she's an outpatient, which is some kind of a medical malpractice that occurred there," said charge d'Affaires Atty. Raul Dado.

Philip Salvador pinagtanggol ang isang Filipino waitress

KAHIT SINO GAGAWIN ANG GINAWA MO! IPAGTANGGOL ANG MGA FILIPINO...

Actor Phillip Salvador had a heated confrontation with a Norwegian national at a mall restaurant on Monday, after the foreigner reportedly humiliated a waitress by calling her "stupid."

The incident took place at the SM Megamall branch of Italian restaurant Sbarro at around 1 p.m., according to a report published on entertainment news site PEP on Tuesday.

Salvador confirmed a source's account of the confrontation, claiming that the foreigner called the Filipino staff of Sbarro "stupid" and a "bunch of idiots."

The actor said he was with his wife, Emma Ledesma, when he heard the Norwegian national complaining about the spaghetti he had ordered. Salvador described the man as 6-foot-3 and in his mid-40s.

According to Salvador, he could not not help but confront the foreigner when he kept shouting at the waitress, who was already crying.

"Who the f*ck are you?" Salvador, in his interview with PEP, quoted the Norwegian as saying. He replied: "I'm the f*cker who's going to beat your ass if you don't apologize to them."

When the foreigner threatened to call the police, Salvador said, "Hurry up! Please tell them to be here in five minutes, and I will tell them to throw you out of this place!"

"You don't insult the Filipinos. Let's get out of this place, I'm going to fight you. You only know how to scream at girls!"

Salvador said he does not mind if a video of the confrontation is uploaded online, when told of the source's account that a bystander recorded the shouting match on his cellphone.

The actor added that even if the staff had committed a mistake, this does not give the Norwegian a right to insult and berate them.

The management of Sbarro has yet to issue a statement on the incident.

Pacquiao vs Mayweather

"LABAN NA! WAG PURO SATSAT!"

Philippine boxing legend Manny Pacquiao vowed to chase Floyd Mayweather into ring submission after his US rival offered to fight him next year in a blockbuster world title face-off.

"He (Mayweather) has reached a dead end. He has nowhere to run but to fight me," Pacquiao told AFP late Saturday, hours after the undefeated Mayweather issued the May 2 challenge on US television.

The two were long-time rivals as the "best pound-for-pound" boxers of their generation, but the dream fight has never materialised to the disappointment of the boxing world.

"I will try my best to (make) this a thrilling and entertaining fight. But I doubt if he's gonna engage me in a slugfest," said the Filipino, winner of an unprecedented eight world titles in different weight classes.

"You all know his fighting style. Most of his previous fights, if not all, induced us to sleep," said Pacquiao from his southern Philippines home city of General Santos.

Should the fight happen, Pacquiao, who turns 36 on Wednesday, said he will do to Mayweather what he did to another previously undefeated American, Chris Algieri, who lost to the World Boxing Organization welterweight champion in Macau last month.

"I know what I have to do. I will chase him wherever he goes just in case he decides to run around the ring. We will devise a good fight plan against him," Pacquiao added.

Speaking to Showtime Sports in the US on Friday night, Mayweather, 37, said he wants his next fight to be against the Filipino star.

However, the American nicknamed "Money" said -- without giving details -- that the expected richest fight in boxing history will only happen if he receives a much bigger share of the purse than his opponent.

In 2012 there was speculation that a fight between the two could lead to the first $200 million purse in boxing history with much of that money coming from pay-per-view sales.

At one point Pacquiao says Mayweather offered him a $40 million purse on the condition Mayweather would keep the pay-per-view money, which would have amounted to more than double what Pacquiao received.

Previous talks were also scuttled because Mayweather says Pacquiao refused to submit to random blood testing.

"Mayweather can get the amount he wants. As early as January this year, I challenged him to a charity fight. Until now, he has not agreed to it. So, money is not the issue in our fight," Pacquiao said Saturday.

"This fight is about legacy, this is about making the fans happy and, above all, this is for the good of boxing."

Buhay Call Center, Buhay BPO!

Working in a call center is a tough kind of job that may not be desired by most individual.

Some of the common reasons why they choose to work in this kind of life are the salary, the benefits offered by the company, the great experience and the chance of getting a good career.

Life in a BPO industry is very dynamic. If you were a person who has great determination and focus, it would not be hard for you to be recognized and simply get a post in the company.

However, that may sounds vague sometimes because not all your expectation can easily be reach. It would be a bucket of trials and adjustments once you venture yourself into much awaited yet challenging world.

Talking of challenges, let’s discuss the normal adversities that are often encountered by most people working in the BPO industry.

Here are some of the common pressures that exist in a BPO industry:
Hitting Business Standards
It is very common in an industry or any institution to set a business goal. Being in line with the BPO employees nowadays, it is your goal to meet up the requirements that the company ask you to perform. It can’t be denied that this can add up the pressure in absorbing and adjusting the traditional practices in a call center.

*Dealing with Indifference
It is also normal in a BPO industry that injustices happen since every program are often divided into different folds of team. Different behaviors and attitude of an agent are quite normal in this kind of environment. Peer pressure is also one of the subjects that ignite the temperature that roams around the team. It’s really not easy to deal with different individuals and understanding difficult people.

*Handling Relationships

Many relationships are often ended in a single beat of time due to the irregular schedule, practiced by most agents. Working in a BPO industry sometimes deprives your moment to spend a long week with your family.

*Coping with Health Issues
There are two common health conditions that normally exist when working in a BPO industry. It would either be a hypertension which known as High blood pressure or the hypotension that used to give you a lower blood pressure. An agent should be wise enough in taking care of her body, by taking vitamins and supplements.

*Understanding the Schedule
It is understood that most of the BPO has different schedules. We have the graveyard and the morning shifts. There are teams or departments that use to shift schedules weekly and it seems to be a daunting task.

"Life can only be complicated if you don’t know how to discipline and handle pressure in every type of work. So, if you are aiming to have a good career in a BPO industry, be flexible in every way!"

The Purefoods Star Hotshots saw their string of four consecutive championships snapped on Thursday and superstar James Yap believes the absence of sophomore Ian Sangalang had a big part in their inability to keep the run going.

They have dominated the league in the recent past, winning the Grand Slam last season and making eight consecutive semifinal appearances but were knocked out of contention in the 2014 PBA Philippine Cup on Thursday by a team they’ve been so used to beating in the playoffs – the Meralco Bolts.

“Malaking bagay yung pagkawala ni Ian. Iba rin kasi kapag andun siya,” Yap told a small group of sportswriters after the loss.

“Kapag ganitong slow start kami, si Ian yung bumubuhat sa amin sa game.”

Sangalang suffered an ACL tear during the team’s opening game of the season and is expected to miss six to eight months with the injury. He is not expected to return before the season-ending Governors’ Cup.

LESSONS LEARNED

Last season, the Hotshots had the habit of starting slow before turning it on in the playoffs. They finished the Philippine Cup in fifth place and the Commissioner’s Cup in sixth place before stomping their way to the championship in both conferences.

They started off this season’s opening conference in similar fashion, losing three of their first four games before winding up in seventh place heading into the playoffs.

It caught up with them, though, as they entered the quarters on the wrong end of the twice-to-beat advantage and they could not overcome it against the Bolts.

Yap said that’s something the team will have to change moving forward,.

“Natutunan naming lesson dapat huwag kaming magkaroon ng slow start,” Yap said.

“Hindi puwedeng ganun lagi.”

Both Yap and point guard Mark Barroca believe that while the Hotshots will be hurting from this setback, the loss will be a valuable learning experience for the team.

“Mas magiging solid kami dito sa nangyari,” Yap said.

“Nasaktan kami ngayon pero babawi kami next conference,” Barroca agreed. “Lilipas rin ito.”

President PNOY, Dakilang abay muna habang walang LOVELIFE

Better to have loved than never not to have loved at all.

That seems to be in President Benigno Aquino's mind when he opened about his social life in a briefing with reporters in South Korea Friday .

"'Di naman ako siguro failure (sa love life). Tulad ng iba, ako ay nagmahal at minahal rin," he said.
"Puntahan ninyo ako ng December 25, si Bimby may pelikula. Si Kris pipilitin ako manood ng sine niya, si Josh hahatakin ako manood sa 26," he said, when asked on what will keep him busy during the holidays.

"Kasama ko si Dingdong at Marian sa kasal nila. Sa February 14, si Chiz at Heart naman," Aquino said. "Ako ang dakilang abay."

Aquino, who remains a bachelor, has had several high-profile romantic relationships, including former Valenzuela City councilor Shalani Soledad and host Grace Lee.

Kris Aquino binuking si Coco Martin

Host-actress Kris Aquino spilled the beans on the love life of her "Feng Shui" co-star Coco Martin on Wednesday, revealing that a woman with "big boobs" visited the award-winning actor on the set.

"Remember that girl? She didn't say hi to me," Aquino teased, noting that the female visitor wearing skimpy shorts went all the way to Antipolo. "Alam mo minsan talaga mapapansin mo. Kasi kung innocent, magha-hi sa iyo, ikaw lang. Tapos magkakatabi tayo, wala siyang sinabi. Tapos we're in Antipolo it was so cold and she was in shorts shorts. Attractive naman"

Aquino went on to reveal that Martin had another female visitor.

"Tapos sa UP Village, there was another one. Akala niya di ko napansin sa holding area. Kasi may mga tent. Hiwalay ang tent niya at hiwalay ang akin. Nung pinapatawag ko siya (Martin), sinabi, 'May kasama po, may dumalaw po.' The fact: two different girls, pero hindi niya ipinakilala," she told reporters during a press conference for the horror film.

Aquino also reported that she has caught Martin texting.

"I think he's just secretive pero may ka-text naman siya. Mapapansin mo 'yon kapag sinisilip ang phone ng two in the morning. Akala niya di ko mapapansin eh napapansin ko, eh 'di good. Basta good na inspired siya> Hindi ko alam kung isa, dalawa o tatlo ang tini-text niya. Tapos may tumatawag din na late, tapos sinasagot niya," she said.

Martin, however, just laughed off Aquino's revelations.

"Wala, wala nga," Martin told the entertainment press, when quizzed about his love life.

"Siyempre may mga taong dumadalaw sa set, siyempre kapag may mga taong kumakausap sa akin. Alam mo minsan may mga fans din na nakikipag-kwentuhan. Hindi ko nga matandaan," Martin explained.

Supportive

Despite Aquino's revelations, Martin publicly thanked his co-star for supporting him while he faced massive criticism for his participation in the recent Bench fashion show.

"Nasubukan ko si Ate Kris nung time na may dumating sa buhay ko itong year na ito. Siya ang kaisa-isang tao na nag-text sa akin na nandito ako at nandito ang family ko. Kung ano ang kailangan mo, nandito kami dahil naniniwala kami sa iyo bilang tao na wala kang tinatapakan at iniisip na hindi maganda para sa iba," Martin said.

Although they have worked with each other before in the 2010 primetime series "Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo," Martin said he still gets embarrassed.

"Kay Ate Kris every time na nagkikita kami, nahihiya ako kasi hindi ko alam kung paano ko siya ia-approach," he said.

"Sa shooting namin nahihiya man ako sa kanya pilit akong lumalapit sa kanya para magkaroon kami ng small talk at makapag-usap man lang," he said, noting that "Feng Shui" is his first horror movie.

"Siguro talagang ang turingan namin ay parang part ako ng family nila, di lang si Kris kung hindi mga kapatid niya then si President PNoy," he said.

Grace Poe not interested for 2016 presidency

Despite the surge in her voter preference ratings in a recent Pulse Asia survey, Senator Grace Poe said she still has no plans to run for president in 2016.

Speaking to reporters, Poe said while the surge in her ratings is encouraging, there are many other factors stopping her from aiming for the presidency.

She said being a neophyte senator, she needs much more experience if she is to run the entire country. She also said she does not have sufficient machinery to sustain her campaign if ever she decides to run.

She also noted the bitter experience of her father, the late Fernando Poe Jr., whom she said was abandoned by some of his supporters in the middle of his presidential campaign in 2004.

Poe said many tasks in the Senate need her attention more than running for a higher post.

Poe posted the biggest jump in the latest Pulse Asia survey on the May 2016 elections, which landed her second on the list of presidential preferences.

Pulse Asia released on Tuesday night its November 14-20 survey where Poe gained 8-percentage points to 18% in the November survey from 10% in September.

Vice President Jejomar Binay shed 5-percentage points to 26% from 31%, but is still first on the list.
His 2010 rival for the vice presidency, Interior and Local Government Mar Roxas slipped to 6th place from 3rd spot, after losing 7-percentage points (6% in November from 13% in September).

Replacing him on third spot is Senator Miriam Santiago, who went up 1-percentage point to 12% from 11%.

Former President Joseph Estrada, in 4th place, managed to keep 10% of respondents.
Senator Francis Escudero, in 5th place, gained 2-percentage points to 7%. – report from Ruby Tayag, dzMM

Aiza and Liza tied the knot

Love knows no gender - Liza Dino's daughter

Celebrity couple Aiza Seguerra and Liza Diño tied the knot in a private ceremony in San Francisco, California on Tuesday (Manila time).

Seguerra, 31, announced the milestone via Instagram, posting a photo that showed her wearing a brown suit and Diño, 32, in a white wedding dress. “Nagsimula na ang buhay ko. #zazagothitched,” read her caption.

The rustic-themed wedding was attended by family and friends, including veteran actress Sylvia Sanchez.

In a separate post, Seguerra shared how some of their guests flew from New Jersey, Texas and Los Angeles to celebrate with them.

“Maganda ‘yung nakuha naming lugar,” she wrote. “We’re lucky coz maraming stuff na pwedeng bilihin dito or pwede ma-rent pero medyo mahal.”

According to Diño, it was her six-year-old daughter who personally crafted some of their giveaways, supposedly writing on a slab of wood the words: “Love knows no gender.”

“In the eyes of a child, the confusion only comes because of the unfamiliar. But what we may see as a ‘complication’ can just come down to something very simple: LOVE IS LOVE – it goes beyond gender, race, culture or religion. And I’m so proud that at such a young age, she see the world without judgement,” Diño posted on Instagram.

Seguerra publicly proposed to Diño at the Teatro Hermogenes Ylagan of the University of the Philippines in Diliman, Quezon City last February. She popped the question during the last scene of the play “Kung Paano Maghiwalay,” in which they both starred.

In a previous interview with Bulletin Entertainment, Diño disclosed that they plan to have a baby through artificial insemination.

“Maraming paraan. Pare-pareho naman tayo na kapag mag-a-asawa, you want the same experience how to build a family,” she said. “We love each other, walang bagay na hindi namin kayang pagtagumpayan.”

The two are planning to hold a beach wedding in the country sometime in January.

“Alam ko, kahit matanda na tayo, mag-dedate pa rin tayo sa isawan, sa fishbolan, sa chocolate kiss, sa beach house at pagkatapos maglalatag ng banig sa bandang sunken garden habang nag-kukwentuhan, naglalambingan at nagtatawanan,” posted Seguerra on Instagram.

Diño added, “We may not be your conventional family. But we are HAPPY. That’s what matters.”

Agot Isidro nabiktima ng dugo-dugo gang

MAG-INGAT SA MANLOLOKO! MAGING MAS MATALINO.

Singer-actress Agot Isidro believes that the suspects behind the theft of P3 million worth of her cash and jewelry monitored her movements and knew details of her daily schedule.

In a phone interview with ABS-CBN News on Tuesday, Isidro said: "I think namanmanan siguro 'yung bahay ko, pati mga kilos, kasi alam na umalis ako sa taping. Alam ang buong pangalan ko, alam na Ma'am Agot, alam 'yung pangalan ng maid na kausap niya."

According to the Quezon City Police District, Isidro lost her money Monday after her house help Maenelyn Omapas received a call from an unidentified woman.

The caller supposedly told Omapas that Isidro figured in a vehicular accident and the singer-actress needs money to settle with a certain Ana Chua.

Omapas followed the caller's instructions, taking Isidro's cash and jewelry in a bag to the Wilcon Home Depot store in Balintawak. After she gave the bag containing the money and jewelry, Omapas was allegedly instructed to return home to Isidro’s residence at Blue Ridge Subdivision in Quezon City.

Omapas said it was only then when she found out that she was just deceived by the caller as Isidro was still at work. -- with a report from Doland Castro, ABS-CBN News

Don’t worry guys, once im happy, i wont forget to let the world know too - Andi Eigenmann to Jake E.

Maybe this just goes to show that we arent meant to be. As much as its hard, ill be fine. - Andi Eigenmann

Months after he admitted to courting Andi Eigenmann, Bret Jackson took to social media to express his support for the actress amid her falling out with former boyfriend Jake Ejercito.

The former "Pinoy Big Brother" housemate posted last week a photo of Eigenmann on Instagram, captioned: "Don't be sad cake smile ka na."

Jackson's post came amid the latest rift between Eigenmann and Ejercito to go public, with the son of former President Joseph Estrada revealing an apparent romance with a woman identified as KC del Rosario via photos.

This prompted Eigenmann to share on Twitter her thoughts about her former partner's new relationship, admitting she was deeply hurt but only wished the best for Ejercito and del Rosario.

Responding to Jackson's words of encouragement, Eigenmann, in a tweet, said: "I let go of someone who has been so [a]mazing to me, yet he still manages to try and make me smile even from a distance. Thank you, Bret."

All of Eigenmann's tweets directly referring to Ejercito, del Rosario and Jackson have since been deleted.

Just last October, Eigenmann and Ejercito were spotted in public together, triggering speculation that they were back together following the controversy surrounding viral photos of Ejercito with another girl.

*BOYFRIEND ARE MUCH PROUDER TO A GIRLFRIEND WHO IS SO HUMBLE FOR HER ACHIEVEMENTS - Unknown

Matteo Guidicelli is a proud boyfriend to Sarah Geronimo, whose official rendition of the Disney song "The Glow" recently debuted.

The 24-year-old actor was asked about Geronimo's stint with Disney Tuesday on the sidelines of a press conference for "Shake, Rattle & Roll," one of the eight entries in this year's Metro Manila Film Festival.

"I'm very proud. Disney 'yan, eh. Sobrang proud po ako sa kanya. She's very proud also. Congratulations to her," he said.

According to Guidicelli, he only learned of the 26-year-old pop star's involvement with Disney from news articles, saying it's typical of Geronimo not to announce her achievements.

"Actually, she didn't tell me. I found out online tapos I asked her, 'You're doing this Disney song?' Sabi niya, 'Yeah, yeah.' Nahihiya nga siya, eh. She's very humble, eh. Natutuwa ako. Sabi ko, 'Dapat you're proud of it! Dapat you'll tell me, 'di ba?' Nakaka proud 'yun, eh. Masaya. I'm happy for her."

Guidicelli agreed when a reporter commented that Geronimo appeared "more blooming" in recent episodes of "The Voice of the Philippines," where she sits as coach along with Lea Salonga, Bamboo and apl.de.ap.

Noting that Geronimo does not think of herself as a "superstar," Guidicelli said he always reminds his girlfriend that she is beautiful. "Sinasabi ko nga sa lahat, 'Ang ganda ng girlfriend ko 'no?'" he quipped.

'We're adults'
Guidicelli did not elaborate when answering whether he and Geronimo still encounter challenges in their relationship, in light of past controversies surrounding the alleged disapproval of the singer's parents of any romantic relationship.
"Nagiging smooth naman lahat, pero siyempre meron namang challenges lahat ng relationships, 'di ba? Nagpagdadaanan naman natin lahat 'yan," he said.

The actor also denied speculations that he and Geronimo are only allowed to talk or see each other at certain times, saying, "She's 26, I'm 24, we're adults."

Asked specifically if he has a good relationship with Geronimo's mother, Divine, who has faced criticisms for supposedly being overprotective of the pop star, Guidicelli said: "Okay naman lahat. It's okay. Everything's good."

According to the "Shake, Rattle & Roll" star, he and Geronimo will spend Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with their respective families, but will make it a point to celebrate together when their schedules permit.

Referring to specific plans, he said: "I don't know yet. We'll see when Christmas comes. A few days before, we'll find out. Sa family, pupunta kami sa Cebu, buong pamilya, pero siyempre dapat masingit natin 'yung boyfriend priorities natin, 'di ba?"

Julie Anne San Jose and rapper Abra dropped by StarTalk to promote her first major concert, Hologram, on December 13 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

What they did not expect was to be asked about the rumored romance between them.

When StarTalk host Heart Evangelista asked Abra to describe Julie Anne in a song or in a rap, the Pinoy Rap Sensation came up with a fresh verse, right on the spot.

"Ito talaga, si Julie Anne parang diwata. Hindi ko alam kung sino’ng mas okay, siya ba or ‘yung mga kasama ko sa Team Abra na nandyan sa likod. Pero ngayon ako'y natalisod," he started.

"Alam mo ‘yung ibig sabihin nun?" he asked, turning to Julie Anne. "Translate mo sa English para malaman mo ngayon."

A visibly flustered Julie Anne reciprocated by singing the Bruno Mars hit, Just the Way You Are.

Does this sweet exchange mean that they are sweet to each other in real life?

"Sa realidad na ‘to kasi walang imposible," said Abra cryptically.

Following the same vein, Asia's Pop Sweetheart simply said, "I'm not really closing my doors to anyone. We're just really good friends right now. He's nice to me."

Julie Anne is set to have a ticket selling event on December 7 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena Ticket Outlet from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Aside from Abra, Julie Anne’s guests will also include Christian Bautista, Frencheska Farr, and Jonalyn Viray. - See more at: http://www.gmanetwork.com/entertainment/shows/startalktx/articles/2014-12-06/12565/How-long-will-romance-remain-a-rumor#sthash.4rxqCILP.dpuf

President Aquino to do list after his term on 2016

President Benigno Aquino III on Friday said he will not run for a lower post when he steps down from office in 2016.

At the Bulong Pulungan sa Sofitel media forum, Aquino said the first thing he would do once he passes the baton to his successor is to go home to the Aquino residence on Times Street in Quezon City and rest.

"Well, going back to Times, staying in my own bed in my own house... Perhaps looking forward to the following day when I don't have to wake up too early. I can laze around and get used to living in Times again. Then perhaps visit the neighborhood… The supermarket and the fast food joints," Aquino said when asked about his plans when his term ends on June 30, 2016.

Aquino plans to "recharge" for at least a year and serve in a different capacity outside politics.
"After 2016, I think the foremost on my mind, together with my Cabinet, is to take at least a year break and recharge and recover from all the tensions, turmoil, concerns over the past six years by that time. So I think I will try to look for a means to serve in another capacity rather than elective office," he said.

"There are very many roles that can be done not just in politics. And perhaps I owe it to those close to me, especially my sisters for instance, and even some of my staff, who have been with me since Congress, they are all looking forward to some time off."

Aquino may also write a book to put on record the "lessons" that he could share to the youth.
"People from our political persuasion seem to note that there is a dearth of institutionalizing the lessons that have been learned. So, perhaps one of the dreams… [I] can write a book to share the experiences. But more importantly, we'd really want to interact with the youth and really help shape the next generation so that we don't repeat the same mistakes. And exactly what form? I'm not exactly sure at this point in time. We are concerned with today's issues.,'' he said.

In his last full year in office, Aquino intends to focus on making the people feel the "changes" that have happened since he assumed office.

"The people really have to feel that there were significant changes and that they were responsible for these changes. So 2015 really is focused on demonstrating so many of the results, be it infrastructure, be it a better employment picture, be it more investments, and so on and so forth," he said.

"So if there is a direct correlation that they gave us this opportunity, this mandate, we will be reaping the fruits in 2015, substantially. Therefore, we can have that picture of what can be achieved, building upon that which we already did. So the focus on 2015, again, is more intensified inclusivity of the growth in the economy and the empowerment of the people and that this is very palpable to everybody. That is, I guess, the main focus for our remaining time."

This early, he considers the change in people's mindset about the country as his legacy as president. He also considers feedback about people coming back home as one of the happiest moments of his presidency.

"When you see the renewed optimism and the attitude that is different in our people where it seems nothing is impossible. That, I think, brings out the 'great' as a nation from the time we stepped into office when there was massive cynicism, where the primary goal was how to leave the Philippines, to now, Sandee was just talking about the young coming back home. That, again, makes us all happy and makes all of this worthwhile."

Sarah Geronimo dismayed on the taping leak

'Pinagpaguran namin 'yan lahat,' says pop star

Sarah Geronimo shares the frustration of her fellow "The Voice of the Philippines" coach Lea Salonga over circulating spoilers of the upcoming leg of the competition.

The 26-year-old pop star said that, she is dismayed with the deliberate leak of the results of the Battle Rounds, which was taped weeks in advance and will only start airing on Saturday.

In this part of the competition, artists from the same team sing-off to impress their coach in a bid to advance to the Knockout Rounds, and then to the Live Shows. Each of the teams led by Salonga, Geronimo, Bamboo and apl.de.ap will field artists this weekend.

Speaking with ABS-CBN News' Gretchen Fullido on Friday, Geronimo said: "Hindi ko nga alam kung ano'ng magiging solusyon diyan, eh... Nakakalungkot naman na may spoilers na gano'n, pero sana ma-contain ng management."

On its official pages, "The Voice of the Philippines" earlier warned its followers against posting spoilers, saying anyone who leaks results of the competition "will be blocked/banned from our Twitter account and Facebook page."

Based on Salonga's tweets early this week, an audience member during the taping of the Battle Rounds was responsible for the leaks.

"Siyempre po, nakaka disappoint," Geronimo said, "kasi as much as possible, we would like the confidentiality atsaka 'yung thrill ba, 'yung excitement kung sino 'yung mananalo na artist, kung sino 'yung mapapabilang sa final six namin."

"At siyempre, 'yung journey mismo ng artist, gusto namin makita mismo sa television, hindi sa... Iyon lang talaga ang disadvantages ng technology ngayon. Marami na talagang piracy, spoilers."

Asked for her reaction to Salonga's outburst on Twitter, Geronimo backed her fellow coach, noting that taping for the canned episodes of "The Voice of the Philippines" took long nights and hard work.

15 NEW ADDITIONS COMPLETE PBA’S 40 GREATEST PLAYERS

 Ildefonso-Miller-Yap_header

Danny Ildefonso, Willie Miller, and James Yap lead the 15 players who will be added to the elite 25 list to complete the 40 Greatest Players in PBA history.

Ildefonso, Miller, and Yap, all two-time MVPs, banner the new cast of great ones, to be joined by former MVPs Asi Taulava, Eric Menk, Kelly Williams, Jayjay Helterbrand, Jimmy Alapag, Mark Caguioa, and Arwind Santos.

Jayson Castro, Marc Pingris, Kerby Raymundo, Chito Loyzaga, and Marlou Aquino complete the 15 names to be added in the list approved by the special nomination committee chaired by legends and former Senators Robert Jaworski and Freddie Webb.

PBA chairman Patrick Gregorio, vice chairman Robert Non, Rep. Elpidio Barzaga, the chair of the Games and Amusements committee of the House of Representatives and mediamen Joaquin Henson and Barry Pascua deliberated for two hours on Monday to carefully select the 15 players.

“Forty will never be enough. We’ve had so many great PBA players since 1975,” chairman Gregorio said. “But to celebrate our 40th season, we had to do the difficult task of naming the 40 greatest PBA players – the pillars of the league. Mga idolo ng bawat Pilipino.”

The list was trimmed down after automatically electing the MVP winners. The players should also have played at least five seasons in the league, should have had a major award, and must have created a great impact on the PBA and the sport of basketball.

This criteria thrusted Castro, Pingris, Raymundo, Loyzaga, and Aquino to the final list, and left out three-year veteran and reigning league MVP June Mar Fajardo.

The 15 men will be joining Jaworski, Ramon Fernandez, Alvin Patrimonio, Bogs Adornado, Abet Guidaben, Benjie Paras, Atoy Co, Freddie Hubalde, Philip Cezar, Ricky Brown, Johnny Abarrientos, Ato Agustin, Francis Arnaiz, Allan Caidic, Hector Calma, Jerry Codinera, Kenneth Duremdes, Bernie Fabiosa, Danny Florencio, Jojo Lastimosa, Lim Eng Beng, Samboy Lim, Ronnie Magsanoc, Vergel Meneses and Manny Paner in the elite list.

All 40 PBA Greatest Players will be honored in a special event highlighting the league’s 40th anniversary in April 2015.

“We will pay tribute to these distinguished men – the 40 players who have been instrumental in shaping the PBA into what it is today,” PBA commissioner Chito Salud said. “On that special day, we will also recognize the pioneering beat reporters who covered the league when it started in 1975.”

A commuter took a picture of Sec. Mar Roxas who rode the MRT yesterday to avoid the usual Friday pay day traffic jam. This was between Buendia station and Quezon ave.
This is the humble and modest trait of Mar Roxas.
